Finding Your People

Through my practical, human-first framework, Networking Is A Piece Of Cake, shows them how to confidently build relationships without awkward small talk or forced conversations. People with strong networks are 2X more likely to be happy at work. (Harvard Business Review, 2021)

Planning a conference? When I open your event, attendees start connecting from the moment they take their seats. It’s not just swapping names, but building momentum, camaraderie, and conversations that carry through the entire conference. I can complement my talk with a workshop and/or a customizable “Break the Ice Bingo” icebreaker. I give your audience a reason to talk to each other, not just listen.

Key Takeaways:

  • Own your story with confidence - because authenticity isn’t a weakness, it’s your competitive edge.

  • Connect without the cringe - turning small talk into conversations that build trust and open doors.

  • Bounce forward from failure - learning how to turn setbacks into smart pivots and powerful comebacks.

  • Step outside their comfort zone - so they can unlock opportunities they didn’t know were waiting.

  • Champions build champions - your network gets stronger when you show up for others, not just yourself.

Hate Networking? Perfect.

Ideal for: College students and recent grads who know networking matters—but still find it awkward, intimidating, or unclear where to begin.

This talk dismantles the pressure to “work the room” and replaces it with a simple, real-world framework: Networking Is a Piece of Cake. Built to take the cringe out of connection, this keynote gives students the tools to show up with confidence, speak with purpose, and build a network that actually supports their next move.

Key Takeaways:

  • Build authentic connections - without the awkwardness or overthinking.

  • Discover your edge - what sets you apart and why it matters.

  • Recognize your value - beyond your resume, LinkedIn headline, or internship count; it’s in how you show up.

  • Master the follow-up - that’s where trust (and opportunity) grows.

AMY’S OFFICIAL BIO

Tired of small talk that goes nowhere? Or worse, like everyone else got the manual on “how to network” and you’re stuck faking it?

Let’s fix it.

I’m Amy, and for more than 20 years, I’ve built a career (and three companies) on doing things differently. I’ve connected with millions of people—on stages, in boardrooms, across oceans, and yes, in those awkward name-tagged conference rooms—to help them turn conversations into career moves.

As the CEO of Last Night’s Game and Cultivate A Network Of Champions, Chair Emeritus of IrishAngels, corporate executive, and adjunct professor, I’ve shown up in a lot of rooms where I didn’t look or sound like everyone else, and still owned the space.

The secret? A Network of Champions.

The kind built on real talk, curiosity, and showing up as yourself, not a walking elevator pitch. Small talk done right isn’t small at all. It’s your starting line.

My work has reached over six million people in the last seven years. But it always starts the same way: one genuine conversation.
